Perfect for conservative bottom game
If you want a safe, high-percentage bottom game for competition, Gordon's closed guard is it. He filmed this after returning from knee surgery using mostly closed guard — and dominated everyone in the gym. That's how effective this system is.

Closed guard in no-gi made viable
A lot of people say closed guard doesn't work in no-gi. Gordon proves them wrong. His system for breaking posture without collar grips and creating submission threats from closed guard is really clever. The hip bump to triangle chain is money.
