Systematically Attacking The Back by Gordon Ryan
Community Rating
My most-watched instructional
I keep coming back to this one. Every time I rewatch a section I pick up something new. The way Gordon chains between the short choke, the RNC, and arm attacks when someone defends one thing is exactly how high level guys finish — by giving you multiple problems at once.
Outstanding but assumes some knowledge
Fair warning — this is not beginner-friendly. If you don't already have a decent back attack game, start with Danaher's Enter the System first. But if you have the fundamentals down, this will take your back attacks from good to elite.
Complete back attack system
Gordon's back attacks are just ridiculous. The level of detail on maintaining back control when people are fighting to escape is what really sets this apart. Most instructionals show you how to GET the back but not what to do when people start scrambling. This covers everything.
Builds on Danaher's ETS perfectly
If you watched Danaher's Enter The System back attacks and wanted more, this is it. Gordon takes the concepts and shows how he applies them with his own tweaks. The straitjacket system is nasty. My RNC finish rate basically doubled.
